Old Fruit Varieties - Calendar 2026
- Top-class art prints - By Pierre Antoine Poiteau - Fruit with retro charm - Brilliantly printed and high-quality workmanship - With all important holidays - Format 50 x 70 cm - Sturdy spiral binding with a hanger
This calendar is a feast for the eyes! The magnificent historical illustrations of fruit, stone fruit, berries, and nuts, precious book prints from the 19th century, are timelessly beautiful, highly decorative, and ideal as wall decorations for living and dining areas. The calendar layout is deliberately light and modern. Thus, this poster calendar will not only appeal to bibliophiles, but also fits perfectly into a modern setting and exudes retro charm.
The prints are taken from the famous, sumptuous volume "Les Arbres Fruitiers" by the Frenchman Pierre Antoine Poiteau (1766–1856). This opulent work was published in 1830. The illustrations in this calendar are based on the book copy held by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation (Staatsbibliothek Preußischer Kulturbesitz) in Berlin.
Pierre Antoine Poiteau – botanist, horticulturist, pomologist, and draftsman – was already famous during his lifetime. He undertook extensive trips to Haiti and Guyana, among other places, to study the local flora. From 1815 onward, he directed the Versailles nurseries.
This DUMONT calendar was designed, printed, and processed in Germany; it is "Made in Germany." This also applies to the paper used, which meets all standards for certified and environmentally friendly production.
Our attention to detail and our many years of experience go into every calendar. We're delighted that you trust us and that we can accompany you a little bit in your daily life. We promise you: With DUMONT calendars, you're always making a good choice!
